WiFi & SIP

In fully converged IP environments – where WiFi for laptop mobility is also a requirement - SIP phones working over a WiFi infrastructure are ideal partners for maximiser. We’ve worked closely with our chosen partners in this area – Meru Networks for WiFi infrastructure and Hitachi for SIP/HiFi phones - to ensure that our resellers can deliver a high quality solution with predictable voice delivery and Quality of Service (QoS) when ever this is the requirement.

Just like maximiser’s wide range of Mobile & Homeworking solutions, there’s a choice of office mobility solutions to meet every business need, whatever the budget, area to be covered or number of employees. Voice over WiFi, IP DECT, standard DECT and GSM technologies can all be deployed to provide mobile maximiser extensions.

DECT

However, where voice mobility only is needed, the current costs for a voice grade WiFi infrastructure are likely to prove too expensive. In such scenarios, the use of IP DECT systems in conjunction with maximiser, such as those offered by Kirk Telecom, are likely to be the most cost-effective for large scale coverage and/or where a high density of mobile handsets are required.

Where a small number of users require voice mobility within a relatively small office standard analogue DECT phones can be connected to maximiser. As well as being extremely cost-effective, these DECT phones deliver CLI, Name and Called Number (depending on the size of display on the DECT Phone) when utilized with maximiser.

GSM Mobiles

maximiser also delivers the ulimate in mobility solutions by allowing GSM mobile phones to be utilised as extensions – including hold and transfer - as standard functionality (no special hardware, applications or licenses required).
