Cloud Managed Services

Deploying maximiser in the ‘Cloud’ is a unique IP telephony solution only available from the SpliceCom Community. The maximiser Cloud solution utilises the strengths of both the on-site IP PBX and Hosted Solution architectures.

maximiser ‘Cloud’ Managed Solutions allows SpliceCom customers’ to utilise IP trunking routed to a virtual Call Server, running on a maximiser XS Call Server, located within a Hosting Centre. The XS Call Server would typically be hosted in a high reliability/high availability state, with dual servers, multiple disk drives, replicated infrastructure and trunks, etc. allowing fault tolerance, far in excess of that expected from a traditional IP PBX and associated services to be achieved.

The IP handsets deployed in very small offices or for homeworkers are networked directly to the ‘Cloud’ based virtual Call Server. For larger sites, where higher availability is required, maximiser 5108 and 5100 Call Servers are deployed. The deployment of on-site Call Servers operating in a ‘Secondary/Survivable Gateway’ mode to the ‘Master’ virtual Call Server offers:

  • Local ISDN or SIP Services
  • Failover to local ISDN or SIP on Network Service outage
  • Site-to-site calls via the IP WAN
  • Utilisiation of the IP WAN for PSTN breakout via the ‘Master’ virtual Call Server
  • Resilient Call Routing at the ‘Cloud’ upon Network Service outage i.e. route calls to alternative locations via the IP WAN or via ISDN/SIP services to the site with WAN failure etc.
  • Reduction in the total number of PSTN lines across a multi-site deployment
  • Reduction in the capacity of IP Trunks required at the Central Site when compared to traditional multi-site networks.

maximiser “Cloud” Managed Solutions are usually delivered through a capital purchase of the required equipment, with an annual break-fix/ maintenance contract, alongside the rental of the associated “Cloud” based IP trunk services. All SpliceCom Community Partners are technically trained to install and support maximiser based IP PBX solutions to the optimum level via the SpliceCom Product Accreditation Training Program. They also have the ability to supply “Cloud” based IP trunk services in order to provide a complete maximiser “Cloud” Managed Solution.
