Voicemail
Deliver a suite of new, advanced Voice Processing features to your Users via their existing phones. Voicemail offers Daily and Permanent Greetings, with extra options for In A Meeting, At Lunch or Off Site. Direct access to voicemail can be provisioned for “trusted” numbers, as an alternative to standard PIN code access. Voice prompts are also utilised for the maximiser Find Me, Follow Me mobility solution. |
Unified Messaging
Where they’re already using the maximiser voicemail solution, Unified Messaging is available to Legacy PBX users for no extra cost. Voicemail messages and/or notifications can be forwarded or copied to any SMTP compliant email solution. This includes Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise, Apple Mail and Microsoft Exchange. Voicemail notifications can also be sent as a text message to mobile phones. In addition, maximiser offers the benefits of Enhanced Unified Messaging to INDeX users. This includes synchronized message deletion and the ability to have emails “read back” and replied to via any phone using maximiser’s Text To Speech engine. This solution is available via any IMAP compatible email server, which once again allows users of Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise, Apple Mail and Microsoft Exchange access to the benefits of Unified Messaging. |
Auto Attendant & IVRmaximiser can provide Auto Attendant, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) – including Text to Speech - and Out Of Hours messaging services to your customers. A simple, single level, ten-entry auto attendant is supplied as standard with maximiser. If you're working in a multi-tenancy or serviced office environment, a completely different auto attendant can be configured for each separate business. More complex, multi-level auto attendant, dial by extension or IVR requirements are addressed through the use of SpliceCom’s Enhanced Speech Processing (ESP). This VoiceXML based application can be added to maximiser on a per-concurrent call/port basis and provides an infinitely variable range of deployment options that can be constructed when combining text-to-speech conversion and/or the playback of pre-recorded audio files with recognition of DTMF input, recording of spoken input and telephony features such as call transfer and disconnect. For example, Alarm, Wake-Up or Reminder Calls can be set-up and generated in this manner. |
Meet Me Conferencing
Avoid the cost and complexity associated with external Voice Conference bureaus and eliminate the time spent traveling to meetings. maximiser’s in-built conference gateway supports up to 120 parties, allowing internal Legacy PBX users or external callers to dial a specific number and just join the conference. |
Mobility
Today’s business requires staff to work seamlessly anywhere, anytime, anyplace. Reducing staff traveling time and costs, allowing office space to be trimmed back and improving productivity whilst increasing work-life balance is a priority for today’s business leaders. maximiser allows Legacy PBX users to expand their current boundaries and join the world of mobile and flexible working. Independent of infrastructure, maximiser allows GSM phones and analogue home phones, in addition to IP Phones over xDSL services, to be used as fully functioning on-switch extensions. |
Wireless
Mobility’s become just as important in the office as well as out of it. There’s now no need to be tied to your desk, or to miss that important call when you’re away from it. maximiser DECT, WiFi and GSM solutions allow Legacy PBX customers to add wireless working without the need to invest in additional infrastructure on their existing, outdated system. |

IP Trunk Gateway
Do you have more than one office? Are you still using expensive leased lines? Do you have a Voice network? Do you still run it in parallel with your Data network? Deploying maximiser as a Voice over IP (VoIP) Gateway opens up the significant cost and productivity benefits of Voice & Data Convergence to Legacy PBX customers. maximiser allows voice calls from your existing PBX to be converted into VoIP traffic, allowing Voice and Data to share one IP Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure, so reducing costs, maximising bandwidth and providing ease-of-management across multiple sites. |
Call Centres
Thinking about adding a Contact Centre or Call Centre suite to your Legacy PBX? Worried about making a further investment in a telephone system rapidly approaching the end of its life? Then protect your investment by adding it through maximiser instead. Agents and Supervisors can enjoy all the benefits of highly featured Contact Centre operation combined with the ease of single or multi-site distribution, including home-based Agents. Support is provided for both IP and traditional analogue telephony, flexible, easy-to-use and information rich historical and real-time management reporting tools and sophisticated call routing algorithms. The maximiser Contact Centre Solution offers inbound routing and blending of voice calls, emails, SMS and Web Chat/Calls in addition to Manual, Preview, Progressive and Predictive outbound dialing. |
Additional Capacity
Need to add more user or trunk capacity? Why invest in legacy infrastructure when you can increase your overall communications capacity through the introduction of maximiser and so begin your migration to a true next-generation IP Telephony platform. With calls between your Legacy PBX and maximiser users being made as internal calls, you can add new extensions and trunks whenever you need them. This allows your organization to migrate from traditional TDM telephony to VoIP and IP Telephony at a pace dictated by your particular business needs – not the other way round, as is the case with “fork-lift” upgrades. |
INDeX Support

Launched by SDX Business Systems to critical acclaim in 1995, sales of the INDeX business telephone system finally came to an end in June 2006. With both the former Managing Director and Sales & Marketing Director of SDX being founder members of SpliceCom – Frank Bretherton & Jeremy Cooke respectively – it’s perhaps unsurprising that SpliceCom have put together a technology upgrade path and commercial pricing package, based on maximiser, that’s second to none. SpliceCom’s evolutionary approach allows existing INDeX customers access to all the business benefits associated with IP Telephony and Voice over IP whilst still retaining the investment made in their existing telephone system. maximiser has been developed to enhance both the INDeX feature set and business efficiency tools. As such we have identified eight key areas that are core to business communications for INDeX customers’. |

Total PBX ReplacementIf your existing telephone system has completely run out of steam, then the investment protection offered to you by maximiser is likely to be a key factor in your decision making process. You can install the required number of maximiser components, Call Server and Phone Module, in a single cabinet in exactly the same manner as a traditional PBX. maximiser allows you to retain your existing investment in copper plant. By terminating your existing twisted pair cabling with RJ45 connectors they can be directly connected to the Phone Modules. maximiser allows you to retain your existing investment in traditional analogue phones - but provides far greater facilities. A single connection from the 5100 or 5108 Call Server fed into your existing LAN is all it takes to further energise these phones by allowing them to utilise existing desktop PCs and laptops to run the PCS 60 (Windows and Mac OS X) or PCS 50 (Linux) Phone Partner. The QoS LAN Switch integral to the Call Server ensures that your voice and data traffic remain on separate networks. Want to move into the world of IP Telephony? Then just connect Category 5 cables (or better) directly to the Call Server - or a LAN Switch connected directly to the Call Server - and your PCS 410s, PCS 100s, SIP or H.323/H.450 compliant IP phones. This allows you to change the telephony mix and migrate to the newer voice technologies as and when it’s right for your particular organisational needs - but you can still keep your voice and data networks separate should you want to. |
